Back in 2000, some of the most-loved and best-received Pokemon games in history came out for the Game Boy Color. Pokemon Gold and Silver were direct follow-ups to the fabled and outrageously-popular Pokemon Blue and Red, which came out Stateside in 1998, not only revitalizing the stumbling Game Boy in one fell swoop, but forever engraining the importance of the Pokemon franchise to Nintendo and ardent handheld gamers alike.
Fast-forward ten years, and now, we have the much-anticipated remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, exclusively for the Nintendo DS, are finally here. Now, gamers who missed Gold and Silver the first time around can play them in all of their enhanced glory. Not only are Heart Gold and Soul Silver remade from Gold and Silver, but pieces of Pokemon Crystal were also added in. Those of us who have fond memories of the Game Boy Color classic can relive it all over again.
